A couple of days ago on our all-too-quickly passing vacation, PJ and I took Daphne the bunny and Lightning the pony south to Tucson. Today we took them north to Payson, a small town in Gila County. PJ visited a bead store there called Galarneau’s Gems (404 S Beeline Highway) where with the help of owners Gerry and Marty she found some incredible stones to make into beautiful jewelry.
I took a walk around the town and visited some antique stores and thrift shops. We lunched at Macky’s Grill which makes incredible hamburgers, and briefly visited Green Valley Park before heading back to Phoenix.
While our vacation days off work officially end tomorrow, we’ve still got three days for more adventures. Stay tuned!
