Today PJ and I visited the Arizona Mining and Mineral Museum, one of the few recreational places the state of Arizona runs that they haven’t shut down… yet.
They have a collection of minerals and mined materials from all over the world including this quartz formation. They even have a large chunk of the meteor that created Meteor Crater in northern Arizona.
If you’re at all interested in minerals, mining, and things that come out of the ground that affect our every day lives or you just like to look at pretty rocks, this is the place to go in central Arizona. Get there before the state decides to close yet another treasure.
