Not sure where this aircraft is headed, but if the passengers look to their right, they’ll have a pretty cool view.
Now, before people start thinking that I’m an incredibly talented photographer who got lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time and waited patiently for the airliner to get in just the right position for this shot to work, I must confess that this is not a photograph.
It’s two photographs.
The flight was actually quite a bit above where the moon was which frustrated me no end, but I decided to swing the camera to the right place to capture it anyway, then I went back to my moon shots. These handheld photos are from the incredibly strategic vantage point of my back yard.
On my way back into the house, I thought it would be an interesting exercise to see if I could put the two photos together. And that’s what you see here in this composite.
