As Bill and Ted might point out, strange things are afoot at the Circle K. All right, not strange so much as every day things. Still, with a particularly interesting sky contrasted with all the light from the gas pumps and parking lot, I felt this photo needed to be made.
Sometimes something as mundane looking (here in the Desert Southwest) as a sage bush can make for an interesting composition, especially with a perfectly clear blue sky and a couple of stray palm trees in the background.
While looking for something else at a bead store, I found this top-drilled pendant, one of the most beautiful black sardonyx I’ve ever seen. I’ve seen stripes like you see at the top of the stone, but the rest of it looks a bit like stained glass. Can’t wait to see what I’m going to make with this!
